We are looking for a Senior Programmer (m/w/d) with solid Unreal Engine experience in a who has a strong computer science foundation.


You know how to work in a project with a larger number of other developers and create systems that are well integrated and easy to use? You enjoy working in an international team together with designers and other engineers to improve existing systems.

YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

  • Experience with UE4/5
  • Knowledge and proficiency with UE4/5 Blueprinting
  • Required experience with 3D mathematics & Unreal functions 
  • Strong object-oriented C++ programming skills (in Unreal) 
  • Expert knowledge in User Experience and Usability
  • Experience with data models and data flow
  • Understanding of UMG optimization techniques
  • Understanding of rendering and UI impacting quality and performance
  • Good English language skills; German is a bonus but not a must

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gaining a deep understanding of our core architecture and logic flow of our game.
  • Gain a very in-depth understanding of our UI framework (Noesis GUI on Unreal Engine) and quickly become the go to person for technical questions around UI in our project
  • Have good understanding and command of the “full stack”, from backend data providers to display, and be in charge of both UI “backend” model/controller code as well as frontend components.
  • Help to improve our UI toolchain and workflow, to make it one of the best among indie game studios.
  • Work hand in hand with a UI designer who will provide design descriptions, mock-ups, assets and build component layouts
  • Supporting the Tech Artist in optimizing game performance.
